Welcome to my Blog— a venue to provide and disseminate commentary, descriptions of events, or online journal entries. I've been a closet, aspiring writer for years and have written plenty of technical writing for work in addition to a couple short stories and a lot of journal entries, which are by far the most interesting to read. My journaling ranges from random quips and curiosities to more self-inspecting reflections.
But, whom am I really writing for? Yes, I ended that sentence with a preposition. My 7th grade English teacher would not be pleased with that piece of grammar but...oh well. And, therein lies the problem; I’ve always shielded my writing from others' eyes for fear of criticism or judgment. But, I have recently come to realize that that’s no way to live. Writing is a means of expression and communication and thus meant to be shared. A Blog is as good as any means to get my writing out and help craft and fine-tune it.
So, when I am inspired to write after taking a trip to a new and fun city or from just everyday occurrences such as a beautiful sunrise or meeting new people, I’ll share those experiences and perspectives here. Now is as good of a time as any to jump in the writing waters…and jump in with both feet. Who knows it might be fun! Happy reading!
